Netflix responded the call of WU assassins season 2 which was put on hold and no other official announcement was made for the renewal. Wu Assassins becoming the most immeasurable action series on Netflix which centralise the ancient martial arts.
Wu Assassins Season 1 giving hopes for renewal:
Wu Assassins is the story about a young Asian Chef coming to San Francisco- later pursuing ancient abilities ‘Wu Xing’ from monks. He becomes the WU Assassin after utilizing his martial arts skills in a way. While teaming up with his friends, deals with the warlords who are trying to overthrow the world.
He crosses the pathway of a Scottish criminal-McCollough who is later exposed to be the wood Wu Lord. In the end, he kills McCollough in another dimensional plane of existence that is separate from the Human world.
In the last episode; everything sets normal but all of a sudden San Francisco experienced an earthquake. The series concluded by telling that “The World still needs the Wu Assassins” so from this note we think that season 2 will be there. The Plot primarily aired on 8th August 2019 on Netflix, directed by John Wirth and Tony Krantz.
Wu Assassins Season 2 Will Premiere Or Not?
Still, there is no official announcement from the Wu Assassins production, but we have hope. In a recent interview, Lewis Tan acknowledged the difficulty of creating an original plot without any adopting story like comics. And he adds, “The Studios are looking for that now, we’re trying to create something new”.
As per the statement given by the cast, we assume that the productions have scripts for the renewal. Celia Au saying that ‘she wants to see what happened with the other 997 Wu Assassins’. The productions haven’t opened till now so We could say that season 2 will arrive by the end of 2021 or early of 2022 if possible.
Casts in Wu Assassins season 2:
- Iko Uwais as Kai, a Chinese-Indonesian Chef- owned restaurant in San Francisco. He learns Martial to defeat the five criminal Warlords who are striving to destroy the world.
- Byron Mann as Uncle Six also Kai’s stepfather, who is an inured master in martial arts.
- Li Jun Li as Jenny Wah- Kai’s close friend, doing side business of keeping a Chinese-American restaurant.
- Celia Au as Ying Ying- kai’s teacher who teaches martial skills to him. She was the first Wu Assassins to go against Wu Warlords. She later entered politics.
- Lewis Tan as Lu Xin Lee- Kai’s friend
- Lawrence Kao as Tommy Wah- Jenny’s Brother and one of the members in the Triad.
