Initially, Coronavirus emerged in Wuhan, China. Whereas now, the mutated coronavirus rose from the United Kingdom; aka the UK variant. Speaking about it, UK variants are more contagious and infectious than the previous one. As we all know that the preparation of vaccines is in the development process from all corners of the world. Meanwhile, more than a quarter of 15 million vaccines are sent to the US. But on the other hand, the vaccines were all going to the dump, being unused. Moreover, Florida, California, and Colorado have discovered a case with the new coronavirus trace.
However, the United States stands first with the highest number of coronavirus cases.
Though, this brought into the limelight following the vows by New York and Florida. As they state to penalize hospitals that have failed to undertake shots campaign promptly. Governor Andrew Cuomo speaks that hospitals must keep up with the vaccines. That should be done within a week of delivery. Or the consequence would be a fine and cut in future supplies. He adds that “I don’t want the vaccine in a fridge or a freezer, I want it in somebody’s arm”. H also warns them to perform as shorty, to thwart the critics upon the hospital’s functionality.
What is the issue in New York and Florida?
In the meantime, New York City’s primary hospital has contributed 31% of its allotment, compared with 99% for the private hospitals. Accordingly in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis declared a policy. It is about the state allocation of a large number of doses to quickly disposable and responsible hospitals. The aforementioned Governor claims that “Hospitals that do not do a good job of getting the vaccine out will have their allocations transferred to hospitals that are doing a good job at getting the vaccine out”. Adding to that he represents that hospitals will be allotted 1000 health workers for a 24/7 vaccination campaign.
Although it is clear, that both the governors do not want the coronavirus vaccines to be idle. So stop the rapid growth of the UK variant, the state took this emergency action. Meanwhile, one of the famous Surgeon Generals Jerome Adams says that “We have to go to do better, and we are going to keep doing better, and I promise you, you will see in the next two weeks, numbers will increase substantially”. Keeping the fact in mind, there are countless critics, saying that the action of penalizing hospitals is highly bureaucratic.
