Umbrella Academy is a superhero comic book series written by Gerard Way. The comics were later adapted to the TV series by the same name on Netflix.
Steve Blackman is the creator of the TV series and it is developed by Jeremy Slater.
The series focuses on a dysfunctional family of seven adopted superhero siblings who reunite on the death of their father Sir Reginald Hargreeves.
While six of the siblings were paying their last tribute to their father, suddenly a portal opens and another sibling “Number Five” appears from it.
Season 1 premiered on 15th February 2019 shows how the troublesome siblings focus on their individual goals, despite being warned by Number Five that the world is going to end in 10 days.
What can we expect in Season 3:
Season 2 of the Umbrella academy ends with a fierce battle between the Hargreeves siblings and the Commission. Five uses his ability to teleport in time and space and saves his siblings from getting killed.
The family manages to travel back from the 60s to 2019. However, things have changed in the future.
Instead of forming the Umbrella Academy, Reginald began the “Sparrow Academy”, a new group of super-powered beings that are introduced at the very end with Ben as their leader.
It’s one hell of a change to the timeline, so the Temps Commission – now being led by the kindly Herb – will presumably need to get involved at some point.
Perhaps the Commission will now be asking the Umbrella Academy to help them restore reality.

We may also see Ritu Arya as Lila, as she was able to leave the site of the battle alive at the end of Season 2.
It was revealed at the ending that Lila also has powers like other Hargreeves siblings so, it would be such a waste if she does not return in Season 3.
Season 3’s Release Date:
Netflix has confirmed that Umbrella Academy is going to get a Season 3. Though, an official release date has not been set yet.
The title of Season 3 has already been revealed. It is called “Meet the Family”.
The production of Season 3 is going to start in February 2021 and is expected to finish in August 2021.
Judging by the timescale of the previous season, the new Season may release in February 2022.
