The virus is mutating and the new variants are even more hazardous. Amid these situations, UAE has suspended its air travel to several countries, including India.
UAE Government Restricts Travel to 14 Countries
The UAE government has banned travel to several countries, including India amid rising COVID-19 cases. However, the citizens need to comply with all the precautionary measures. One must keep in mind that the world isn’t Covid free yet. Some countries are moving towards a new horizon and getting back to the pre-Covid era. But still, there are countries that are battling with new waves and variants. Therefore, UAE has banned flights to several countries in order to protect its citizens. In case, any citizen tests positive while traveling, they will have to isolate themselves.

Why has the UAE Government Restricted Travel to these Countries?
The UAE government has banned its citizens from traveling to these nations because they are still battling with COVID-19. Besides that, these countries are still witnessing new waves every now and then. India has recently recovered from a second Covid wave. On the other hand, South Africa has suddenly witnessed a new surge in daily infections. India is also recording cases of the deadly Delta and Delta Plus variant. Henceforth, UAE citizens are advised not to travel to these countries.
What to do if you Test Positive while Traveling?
If a UAE citizen gets affected while traveling, they have to immediately isolate themselves. Moreover, they have to inform the UAE government about their situation. If they want, they can return to UAE after they test positive. But they will follow all the protocols and precautions whilst they have tested positive. They have also to follow all the guidelines present in the host country.
