The official handle of the Vice President of India is still verified. Named @VPSecretariat, the VP’s secretariat runs the account. It still has a blue tick next to it.
Twitter Removes Verification Badge from Vice-President’s Personal Account
Naidu’s personal Twitter account has 1.3 million followers. His last tweet on the handle was from July 23, 2020. On the other hand, the Vice President’s official account has more than 931,000 followers. The blue tick was removed all of a sudden. No reason was specified at that time. It was indeed shocking news. Besides Naidu’s account, several RSS leaders have also lost the blue tick verification. Many Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leaders lost their verification Saturday. Joint Secretaries Krishna Gopal and Arun Kumar have lost the blue badge. Former General Secretary, Sunil ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi’s blue tick is also removed. Sampark Pramukh Aniruddha Deshpande is also unverified now. Besides that, Former Joint Secretary Suresh Soni has also lost the blue badge. However, RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat’s account is still verified.

Twitter Restores the Blue Tick Later
Several hours later, Twitter restored the blue badge on Naidu’s account. However, the exact reason isn’t specified yet. Most probably it was removed because his account was inactive for quite a long time. And that was one of the criteria for removing the badge. The issue is resolved now.
