The Witcher Season 2 finally has a release date now. Based on Polish writer. Andrzej Sapkowski’s thriller fantasy series of the same name, story follows the monster hunter Geralt of Rivia. However, he possesses supernatural traits due to his mutations whilst his journey is filled with action, thrill, and adventure. Since the fantasy drama debuted in 2019, it managed to maintain a good fanbase. After the release of the first season, fans were quite curious to know about the development of season 2. It’s almost been two years and fans cannot keep calm now. Let’s see what the second season has in store for the audience.
When is The Witcher Season 2 Airing on Netflix?
After two long years, we finally have the release date for The Witcher Season 2. The fantasy drama is all set to drop in its entirety on Netflix on December 17, 2021. Moreover, it will comprise eight episodes.
Just like all other series and dramas, this too faced a lot of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the production of the series had to go through several halts and delays, they wrapped it up in April this year. Currently, the upcoming season is in its post-production phase. During the TUDUM event, Netflix released several clips and teasers from the insides of The Witcher Season 2. As mentioned above, the forthcoming season will comprise eight episodes. You can find the titles of all the episodes below:

Although Netflix did not reveal much about The Witcher Season 2, we have a few hints here and there regarding the plot. The first episode titled, “A Grain of Truth” will show the meeting between the Geralt of Rivia and Nivellan, the cursed half beast and half man. Besides that, it will also portray Ciri. In the second season, the Geralt of Rivia will protect Ciri at all costs and take her to his childhood home, Kaer Morhen. Meanwhile, the kings, elves, humans, and demons of the continent are fighting for supremacy.
