What did the Authorities Say About the Approval?

The FDA Commissioner, Janet Woodcock, approved the third jab in a press conference on Thursday. She stated that the United States is dealing with yet another wave of COVID-19. However, this is a difficult case for everyone who stays in America. Besides that, she also mentioned that immunocompromised people are more vulnerable to the virus. Henceforth, their safety is the FDA’s top priority. Therefore, they are introducing a third booster jab for all those who have a weak immune system and are at the risk of catching COVID-19 quite easily. Moreover, solid organ transplant recipients can also go for the third jab.

However, after a lot of discussions, the health panel finally approved the booster jab in the US on Thursday. On the other hand, Israel has already started inoculating the booster jab to older adults. They believe that a third dose will enhance an individual’s immune system and provide them the immunity to fight against the Delta variant.
