TCL announced its FlatpanelsHD plans. The company recently reiterated this by announcing that its Android TV models in Europe in 2019 and 2020 will be upgraded to Android 11. With ALLM (auto low latency mode) support for applications, theatrical ads, instant games, the Gboard TV keyboard, there will be support. It also would come with a speech-to-text function along with predictive typing. There is a lot they have not talked about. But the users can expect even more.
We have come with the statements made by the company. The most important part that the company said is here. “The update is compatible with the new Google TV interface but it has yet to be decided if it will be migrated to Google TV as discussions are ongoing. Models from 2018 and earlier will not receive the update”.
TCL is quite active these days on Twitter-like platforms. For what it’s worth, the Twitter account of TCL Europe posted a tweet recently. It talked about the same thing and there was all the Twitter was blown. “Your experience will be upgraded from Android TV to the new Google TV system and TCL is proud to be one of the first providers this year.”
So, once Android 11 is released publicly later this year, it really does seem like Google TV is now on the menu. FlatpanelsHD, though, says that this only extends to 2021 versions. And it is very obvious news for us. Right!
Google TV is the newest entertainment app for Google at home. Android TV has been dramatically replaced by this. It provides an upgraded interface that takes the fingerprints directly into exploration, personalization, and curation. This is one of the stronger experiences of at-home entertainment there. Hopefully, then, TCL owners would be treated to Google TV.
TCL X915, TCL C815, TCL C715, TCL P815, and several others are some of the TCL versions slated to be upgraded to Android 11. The complete list of TVs that are scheduled to be updated can be seen on the source page.
For 2019 and 2020 TCL versions that run Android TV in Q3 2021, the Android 11 update must be usable, so it will not be much farther. However, this is a piece of great news for us but we have to wait. We have to wait for the final result.
