Tata Motors has announced that it is changing its Board of Directors from July 1, 2021. The automobile giant is making changes in its top-level management after a long time. It involves both personal as well as professional reasons. Here are all the details about the new board members. Given below are a few details that we know about the company and its new management.
CEO & MD, Tata Motors, Guenter Butschek to Step Down from his Position
Guenter Butschek, CEO & MD Tata Motors expressed his desire to relocate to Germany. However, he did not specify any proper reason. But we believe, there were some personal reasons. Guenter announced that he will like to relocate at the end of his contract. Although, he is stepping down from his position on June 30, 2020. But he will still continue to work in the company as a consultant. Even though, he is stepping down from his position; he will continue as a consultant till the end of the fiscal year.
Chairman Thanks Butschek for his Major Contribution
As mentioned above, Guenter Butschek will continue as a Tata Motors consultant, until this fiscal year ends. He is stepping down from his CEO & MD position. Girish Wagh will join as the company’s Executive Director from July 1, 2021. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Groups thanked Guenter Butschek for his contribution to the company. He led the company for five successful years and took it to great heights. Besides that, he created a strong foundation for the company. Chandrasekaran said that he is very grateful to Guenter Butschek and will look forward to his influence as a consultant.
Shailesh Chandra will head the passenger vehicle division of Tata Motors. Girish Wagh will also continue his position as a commercial vehicle unit’s President. Besides that, he is the new Executive Director. Thierry Bollore, Chief Executive Officer, Jaguar and Land Rover will continue to work closely with Chairman, N. Chandrasekaran.
