South Park is one of the funniest animated sitcoms to air on TV. The show has been running for 23 years and has spawned 23 seasons, a film, several shorts, and even 9 games. On September 30, 2020, The show released a special called ‘The Pandemic Special’. The hour-long special was released a year after the last episode aired. This also marks the first time the creators aired a special episode. Now fans are wondering when South Park Season 24 Episode 2 is coming out?

Season 24: Episode 2 Release Date
First of all, let’s get it out of the way. The Pandemic Special was not the premiere of Season 24. It is a stand-alone episode and will not be a part of the next season.
On September 12, 2019, the show was renewed up to the 26th season.
According to reports, HBO Max has paid a hefty sum of $500 million to the creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone to continue the show till 2022.
Parker and Stone have also created another web series on Youtube known as Sassy Justice. They have created the show with Peter Serafinowicz.
Since then there were no reports about the latest season. But don’t lose hope. South Park Season 24 would be out soon.For now, you watch The Pandemic Special for free at South Park Studios.
The site calls the special Season 24 Episode 1. So, technically Season 24 has already started. Although this is not confirmed, we can correctly assume that the next season isn’t that far!
South Park Studios also posted a video on Youtube where they showed how they made “The Pandemic Special”. The 2-minute video showed how the equipment was installed at home for the people working on the show. These included animators and other people and showed how they overcame the challenge of making the show. Even though the Coronavirus pandemic has affected productions for a lot of shows, the animation is seemingly less affected. This means new episodes of the show are pretty close.
For now, there is no official announcement on South Park Season 24 Episode 2. But we expect some more news pretty soon!

Parker and Stone have made all the South Park episodes free on a website called South Park Studios. Thanks to a deal between the creators and Comedy Central’s parents company, Viacom, you can watch all the episodes free. Yes, all of them!
In a statement from Wired regarding the site, the creators said, “We got sick of having to download our show illegally all the time. So we gave ourselves, a legal alternative.”
