Season 6 won all seven major comedy awards at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards and became the first show ever to do so.

Is Schitt’s Creek Season 7 happening?
Unfortunately, Season 6 was the final season of the hilarious show.
It took a while for the show to gain popularity. Even though the show received strong reviews, it still didn’t reach a massive audience. The first four seasons of the show were available on the Canadian network, CBC, and the little-known United States channel PopTV.
It all changed with the show’s arrival on Netflix. The show got its due success and gathered a massive following. It was sad as people were expecting more of the Roses as they discovered the show later on.
On March 21, 2019, Creators Dan and Eugene Levy took to Twitter and announced that Season 6 of Schitt’s Creek would be the final season.

With its huge Emmy win, there may be a possibility of a spin-off. The show was prepared before it became a huge success with its launch on Netflix. After its success on Netflix, the show went to garner a huge fanbase who found out the genius of the show later on. After it received the much deserved Emmy wins, the show might come back as a sequel in the future but at the time it’s hard to say.
Hollywood Reporter informed that creator Dan Levy has signed a deal with ABC for three years. Under this deal, he would develop TV shows for the network.
Levy also portrayed David Rose on the show and received critical acclaim for the performance. With the new deal, Dan Levy would be under the Disney roster as he would get a chance to collaborate with other well-known artirsts and creators to make hilarious content.
