Has the cast posted any sneak peeks yet?
Events in Riverdale are becoming really interesting. Vanessa Morgan is hard on set at work and she also gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at a moment in which some snakes are hanging out together with her.
“Filming on stage with live snakes yesterday 🐍 haha can’t wait to show my Lil guy what his mom was doing 8 weeks before he was born 😂🤰🏽 #RiverdaleS5”
Release Date
It appears like shortly enough, we’ll be going back to Riverdale. The CW announced officially its 2021 roadmap and Riverdale was verified to return at 8 PM ET/9 PM CT on January 20. It will be returning to its regular Wednesday night time slot.
In August 2020, pre-production began, before creator and Aguirre-Sacasa announced in September that filming has begun for the upcoming show, sharing on Instagram, a picture of himself along with cast members.
He posted another photo on September 14th, this time of the “first scene… of season five,” tagging KJ Apa in the role of series hero Archie, apparently standing in a steam room.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, CW president Mark Pedowitz said: “We transitioned from a female-skewing network in 2010, ’11 and ’12 to more male-focused with Supernatural, and now we’ve shifted back a bit with Riverdale, All American and In the Dark to something different.”
Riverdale Season 5 Trailer
In December, the CW released the first full trailer for season five, promising a whole lot of drama to come from masked sadists masquerading as Archie and his friends to Veronica weeping on what seems like a possible Betty-Archie love.

We see the Riverdale gang head to prom in the trailer and a few first-look videos, “the last dance they have with their friends,” we see a bloody-faced Archie telling Veronica.
