Even though 5G is still not usable in India, budget 5G smartphones are all the trend, and we’re seeing brands launch 5G products by the dozen. The Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, which was published on February 24, is the most recent entrant. We have already a number of very strong smartphones under Rs. 30,000 that are prepared for the next-gen, increased speed network, and it began as a stream last year and in 2021.
The competition among manufacturers appears to be who can offer the most affordable 5G smartphone, and the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G currently holds that title. It is actually the cheapest 5G phone in India, with a starting price of just Rs. 16,999. Add in a high-resolution display, a big battery with quick charging, and a powerful SoC, and you’ve got yourself a fairly feature-rich smartphone.
The base version of the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 16,999. The higher-end version, which is the one I’ll be reviewing, costs Rs. 19,999 and includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both models come with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.
Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G design:
We mentioned the design in my first impressions piece, and my feelings about it haven’t changed much after a week of use. The all-plastic body has picked back well so far, the ergonomics are fine, and even though it weighs 194 grams, it doesn’t feel heavy.
The fingerprint sensor on the side works quite well. To unlock the device, all that is required is a fast tap. Facial recognition is also lightning fast. Many of the physical buttons are within reach of your fingertips and offer excellent tactile feedback.
Specifications:
The MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, which has a built-in 5G modem and is very powerful and power-efficient, powers the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G. It’s also found in Realme’s own X7 (Review) smartphone, which is priced exactly the same as the Narzo 30 Pro 5G model.
The Narzo 30 Pro 5G’s internal storage can be extended using the hybrid SIM slot, but you’ll lose the option to use a second SIM card in such a case. Dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, a common range of sensors, and support for various satellite navigation systems are all included.
