Pfizer BioNTech will seek regulatory approval for its Coronavirus vaccine; for children aged between 5 to 11 very soon in the United States. The pharmaceutical giant stated that their vaccine for kids is completely safe and has shown good results in the trials.
Pfizer BioNTech Successfully Completes Vaccine Trials for 5-11 Age Group
American pharmaceutical company Pfizer has successfully completed its trials for COVID-19 vaccines for kids aged between 5 to 11. However, the company and its German partner, BioNTech; will soon seek regulatory approval from the United States government. The company states that the vaccine is completely safe for the kids and it has shown good results on the participants.
Besides that, it has also accelerated their immune system. Moreover, the company said that they would come up with a lower dose for the 5-11 age group as compared to those above 12. The company and its German partner have clearly stated that the vaccine is safe, well-tolerated, and has shown vigorous neutralizing antibody responses in the trials.
The Trial Data
First of all, Pfizer and BioNTech will submit their trial data at the European Union and before the government of the United States. After that, they will try to make the vaccines available to the rest of the world as early as possible. Moderna is still conducting its vaccine trial for the 6-11 age group. The pharmaceutical giant has s far developed vaccines for children above 12 and adults above 18.
