Countries like Israel, Canada, Germany, the United States, etc. have opted for the third Covid shot i.e., the booster shot.

In their recent trials, Pfizer-BioNTech claim that their COVID-19 booster shot is 95.6 percent effective against the deadly virus. Moreover, the company’s third dose has shown decent efficacy compared to those who did not receive a booster jab. The pharmaceutical company cited the results on the basis of the phase three trial of their 30 micrograms dose; the same dose as the primary series of their mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. However, these results embody that the booster jab is really effective in providing better protection against Coronavirus disease. It will keep the people protected against the virus in the long run.
More than 10,000 volunteers participated in the trials for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster shot. All these volunteers had received the pharmaceutical company’s primary series of the Covid vaccines. However, 50 percent of the people who participated in the trials received the 30 micrograms booster shot. On the other hand, the rest of them received a placebo. Meanwhile, the US and German pharmaceutical companies are the first to publish efficacy results from any such random booster shot trials. Pfizer’s CEO, Albert Bourla, also mentioned the fact that the booster jab offers better protection against the novel Coronavirus disease.
