We all realize that AMD will be releasing its new Ryzen 5000H series gaming processors for laptops at the CES 2021 focused on its groundbreaking Zen 3 design.
Also, we have seen several reports that have verified that AMD will bring the first overclockable laptop processors in the form of the 5000HX series, ‘X’ stands for overclocking capacity.
Another overclockable handheld gaming processor by the company will be the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and it has been spotted several times. 8 cores and 16 threads are supported by the processor and feature 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache. The base clock of the chip is rated at 3.30 GHz & 4.70 GHz is rated as the boost clock.
The presence of another overclockable mobile APU in the form of the Ryzen 9 5980HX has been verified by a new revelation from @KOMACHI ENSAKA. This may also be an 8 core, 16 thread model with certain higher clock speeds and was spotted on usb.org, indicating its support and presence on forthcoming gaming laptops.

The Geekbench 5 score of the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX is 1423 points in the single-core output numbers, while the CPU scores 6912 points in the multi-core. The AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS gets 1092 points in single-core and 7071 points in multi-core results on an average Geekbench 5 score. A huge 30 percent increase over the predecessor is the single-core result, while the multi-core rating is on par with the prior flagship. The Ryzen 9 5900HX is 24 percent quicker in single-core tests than the Intel Core i7-10750H and maintains a 25 percent lead in multi-core tests.
Different descriptions of not only the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU but also the Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU were found by TUM APISAK. Higher binned CPUs are the HS series that should feature the same clock speeds but at 35W lower TDPs. Three completely new ASUS ROG Zephyrus models, including the DUO, G15, and G14 versions, will include both designs. Models fitted with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (16 GB), RTX 3070 (8 GB) and RTX 3060 (6 GB) Max-Q series GPUs have been found.
There is no word about pricing, but predict them to arrive with a huge price over regular laptops and to be released at CES 2021 by ASUS. This may well be AMD’s flagship mobile gaming processor and is said to offer revolutionary gaming output effectively, and 2021 will also be the best one for laptop gamers!
