President Joe Biden will pay a tribute to all the people who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack on September 11, the day that marks the 20th anniversary of the event. He will visit several sites such as ground zero in New York City, the Pentagon, and the dedicatory placed outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The first lady, Jill Biden will also accompany the President in his visit to the memorials. Moreover, the White House also said that Vice-President, Kamala Harris will also reach the location. But she will travel before the President for another event alongside her husband, Doug Emhoff.

On the day that marked the 10th anniversary of the event, the then President, Barack Obama followed the same ritual. Henceforth, President Joe Biden is following in his footsteps. Obama’s visit overlapped with the opening of a memorial site at the place where the World Trade Centre once stood. However, the 20th anniversary falls amid these horrific situations going on in Afghanistan. The war between the US and Afghanistan was launched within two weeks of the 9/11 event. It was the Taliban who provided the Al-Qaida plotters safe haven in the war-torn country.
