Reliance Groups was all set to launch the hyped JioPhone Next on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi this year. However, the company announced on Thursday that it will not launch the upcoming 5G smartphone today. The smartphone, in partnership with Google, is the cheapest Android 5G smartphone. It has several features, is cost-effective, and is affordable. Mukesh Ambani teased the smartphone a few days ago and announced its launch on September 10, 2021.
JioPhone Next Not Launching Today
Reliance is not going to launch JioPhone Next on September 10, 2021, the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. However, Mukesh Ambani first teased the smartphone during the Reliance AGM 2021.
Besides that, he also discussed a few features and said that the smartphone is scheduled to launch on September 10, 2021. The phone is in collaboration with Google. But, in a statement on Thursday, Reliance stated that they will not launch the smartphone on the above-mentioned date. Henceforth, it seems as if buyers will have to wait a little longer for the cheapest 5G smartphone.
What did the Company Say?
The company released a statement regarding the smartphone’s launch on Thursday. Reliance announced that they are continuously testing the smartphone with a limited set of users for further refinement. Moreover, the company is planning to launch the smartphone during Diwali, making it more widely available to customers. Besides that, the company has also stated a few issues related to global semi-conductor shortages for the delay. The company further added that two more months are enough to solve all the issues. Henceforth, we can expect the smartphone to launch in November around Diwali. The company will fix all the issues in these two months and launch the cheapest 5G smartphone for the customers. Although the company has extended the release date to two more months, it hasn’t announced a specific date. Earlier during the AGM, the company announced that they will launch the smartphone on September 10, 2021; which didn’t seem to happen.
