Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, or simply Jack Ryan, is an American geopolitical crime thriller television series, based on characters from Tom Clancy’s fictional “Ryanverse” whose first season got premiered on Prime Video on August 31, 2018.

Ryan and James Greer (Wendell Pierce) returned together in the second season, the former traveling to Venezuela to investigate the illicit shipping of weapons to the region. The latter, who started in Russia, traveled to South America, where his former wife bumped into him. 

After so much fun and action from the first two seasons, fans were eagerly waiting for the third season’s announcement. And yes, season 3 is finally coming back!

Season 3 does not really have a release date yet but we will keep you updated. In the fall, both of the previous seasons of the series premiered. A late 2021 or early 2022 release appears to be most likely considering that the series will not begin filming until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Jack Ryan Season 3: Cast

Marianne Jean-Baptiste is the newest addition to the Season 3 cast (Blindspot). Jean-Baptiste is going to play Elizabeth Wright, the station chief of the CIA, according to Deadline.

Series stars Krasinski as the CIA analyst who monitors the finances of terrorist groups becomes the titular ex-Marine. Alongside Krasinski, Abbie Cornish, and Wendell Pierce co-star. The cast was joined in Season 2 by Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Jordi Molla (Genius), Jovan Adepo (The Leftovers), Noomi Rapace (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Cristina Umaña (Narcos), and Francisco Denis. Kelly, Adepo, and maybe Rapace seem to be the most likely to remain on board for season 3 of that party.

Whether season 1 love interest Cathy Muller (Abbie Cornish) re-enters the series is one thing that remains to be certain.

Potential Plot

Author Tom Clancy created the character Jack Ryan, and he first appeared in his 1984 novel The Search For Red October. To date, there are 28 novels in the “Ryanverse” featuring Jack Ryan or his friends (mostly written by Clancy). The character has appeared on the big screen five times, played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine over the years. With season one, Krasinski joined the brotherhood and is now the longest-tenured Jack Ryan. 

Whatever is the exact plot of the upcoming season, one thing for sure can be guaranteed: So much thrill and action along with amazing characters and storyline as the creator promises.
