Israel Curbs COVID-19 Restrictions Amid Rising Cases in the Country
Amid rising COVID-19 cases in the country, Israel reimposed several curbs for its citizens. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has assured the citizens that COVID-19 vaccinations will help in decreasing the daily infections. Moreover, he said that people need to follow the COVID-19 protocols in order to keep the virus at bay. Besides that, the Prime Minister said that his goal is to open up the country but not in a situation where hospitals are all full. Henceforth, people need to follow all the restrictions, wear masks, practice social distancing, etc.

On a tour to a new vaccination center in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett advised people regarding COVID-19 protocols. He said that he does not want to implement another lockdown in Israel. Moreover, he wants to open up the country’s economy but not to a situation where hospitals are all occupied. Henceforth, people will have to understand the importance of easing the restrictions. In order to restrain lockdown in the country, people will have to practice social distancing. Besides that, they will have to wear masks and follow all other COVID-19 protocols. On the other hand, he emphasized the importance of vaccinations.
The Country Introduces New COVID-19 Guidelines on Tuesday
Prime Minister Bennett announced new COVID-19 guidelines in Israel on Tuesday. People will require COVID-19 vaccination certificates if they want to enter a public venue holding less than 100 people. In case they haven’t got inoculated yet, they will require to present a COVID-19 negative test certificate. Moreover, in open places with more than 100 people, masks are mandatory. Although the country ditched masks a few months ago, the recent surge has brought the masks back to them. Besides that, he has asked people to stop hugging, kissing, hand-shaking, and embracing each other.
COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in Israel
The country has also implemented a few travel restrictions amid the rising COVID-19 cases. However, they have issued a list of countries that suggest travelers quarantine upon their arrival. Regardless of their vaccination status, they will have to quarantine when they arrive at the Israel airport. The list of countries includes France, Italy, the United States, etc. As a matter of fact, the country was able to carry out its vaccination drive very successfully over the past few months. Even though people are eligible, millions of citizens refuse to take the jab. Recently, the country introduced a booster shot for all those above 60.
