HBO renewed Insecure Season 5 way back in 2020, a few later after its fourth season premiered. The show producers, Issa and Prentice announced on May 1, 2020, that the whole Insecure cast will return for a fifth and final time. So far, we don’t have any official release date for Insecure Season 5. All we know is that the fifth season will premiere in 2021. Recently, HBO Max confirmed in a video that the final installment will air towards the end of 2021. However, it did not specify an exact release date for the premiere. Production Status
As mentioned earlier, HBO Max already confirmed that Insecure Season 5 started filming in January 2021. On January 21, Issa Rae shared a short video on Instagram claiming that they’ve finally begun season 5’s production. Later in June, the show’s cast and Rae announced that they are done with the filming. Moreover, star Orji shared a very sentimental post on Instagram as they wrapped up the filming for the final season. So, now we know that the filming is wrapped up. Henceforth, we can hear good news anytime soon lately.
