MAN TO BE EXTRADITED FOR 2010 MURDER OF PERRY PUCKERIN JR.

A 33-year old Pembroke man currently serving time in a London jail, is awaiting extradition to Bermuda, where he is expected to be charged for the January 3, 2010, shooting murder of Perry Puckerin, Jr.

Father of two, Mr. Puckerin, who was 34 at the time of his death, was shot while he was at the Hamilton Parish Workman’s Club. At the time of his death, there was an intense gang war going on between Parkside and 42.

Mr. Puckerin, whose family home is located on Footbridge Lane, Pembroke, near the St. Monica’s Road area, was the third man from the area to be murdered within a month.

The bloody war was sparked by the drive-by shooting of Kenwandee ‘Wheels’ Robinson on May 22, 2009, as he was sitting outside of his home.

At the time of Mr. Puckerin’s murder, Police said they believed the shooting was targeted.

Sources have informed Today In Bermuda that the man, who was known to local Police, was in fact arrested for the crime, but released on bail and subsequently left the Island a few years ago for the United Kingdom.

It is not clear what he is currently serving time for, but he is expected on the Island shortly and will eventually appear in Magistrates’ Court to be charged with Mr. Puckerin’s murder.
