The Huawei Band 6 was unveiled in Malaysia on Friday as the Chinese company’s newest fitness tracker. The band has a large AMOLED monitor and is said to have a battery life of up to two weeks. Heart rate, sleep, SpO2 (blood oxygen level), and stress tracking are all included in the latest fitness watch. It has over 96 exercise modes, as well as the ability to relay phone alerts for incoming calls and texts.
Price and availability of the Huawei Band 6
The new Huawei Band 6 is available in Malaysia for RM 219 (roughly Rs. 3,800). The wearable is available in three colours: Amber Sunrise, Forest Green, and Graphite Black. Starting on Sunday, April 4 in Malaysia, the wearable will be available for purchase on the official Huawei online store. The new fitness wearables launch in other markets has yet to be confirmed.
Specifications and functions:
The Huawei Band 6 has a 64 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 1.47-inch AMOLED Full-View (194×368 pixels) colour display. It is said to have a screen that is 148 percent wider than its predecessor, the Huawei Band 4. The new wearable weighs just 18 grammes and has a skin-friendly UV-treated silicone belt. It is said to have a battery life of two weeks or up to ten days with intense use.
The Huawei Band 6 is said to provide two days of battery life in just five minutes of charging, according to the company. Huawei’s TruSeen 4.0 24×7 heart rate tracking, TruSleep 2.0 sleep monitoring, and TruRelax stress monitoring technologies are all supported. SpO2 blood-oxygen saturation monitoring is also provided with the fitness band.
The Huawei Band 6 includes a menstrual cycle tracking feature as well as the ability to monitor music playing via the handset. Both of these features, however, are only available on Android devices and not on iOS. Running, swimming, elliptical, rowing, and treadmill are only a few of the 96 exercise modes available on the fitness device.
App reminders, incoming call and message alerts, weather forecasts, and a remote shutter for the phone’s camera linked to the device are all included in the Huawei Band 6. The fitness band measures 43×25.4×10.99mm and is water resistant to 5ATM (50 metres). The device has a magnetic charging thimble, Bluetooth v5.0 support, and a navigation side button. It works on phones supporting Android 6.0 or higher and iOS 9.0 or higher.
