Highschool DxD is a Japanese supernatural comic anime with a focus on the harem. It is written by Ichiei Ishibumi. TNK adapted the light novel series into anime and aired it on AT-X in 2012. It is set in Kuoh Academy which was an all-girls school initially but later on became co-ed. Along with humans, angels, and devils are also part of students. Issei Hyodo is a lecherous student and goes on a date with a disguised fallen angel, Yuma Amano. On their date, she tries to kill him but Rias Gremory, a devil, revives him. However, in the process of resuscitation, he also becomes a devil and her faithful servant.

Release date of Highschool DxD Season 5
The fifth season is delayed, one reason is the COVID-19 outbreak. However, there is another reason too. The fourth season premiered in 2018 and the makers wanted to premiere the fifth season in 2020. The show’s delay also pertains to the change of production studio. A new studio will take care of the season’s production and that is causing the technical delay.
We have not heard any news about the show’s development. So, we can base our assumption on the release date to be in 2021. But, we will also expect the show to come back with its original style and display.
