Amazon already has announced that there will be a third season of Hanna, considering how season two was highly liked by both critics and viewers, and it would have seemed a shame to ruin all of that character growth.
Sooner this year, the second season aired and left fans curious what the third season would hold for the teen assassins. Here’s all summarily executed that is known about the cast, storyline, and probable release date of the series before starting.
Hanna season 3: Release Date
The thriller was formally renewed by Amazon for a season 3, with the panel confirmed in July 2020.
In a tweet, series creator David Farr said he’d be “absolutely thrilled to be able to give a season 3 to Hanna.”
He added, “When we set out on this journey, I had a drama in my mind that would dig up the past of Hanna, challenge her in completely new ways, and answer the question: can she ever belong?” I am deeply thankful to Amazon and NBCU that this dream can be continued.
“I am also deeply indebted to Esmé Creed-Miles and to Mireille Enos for their continuing commitment and enormous talent as we take Hanna and Marissa into new and unexplored terrain. It’s going to be an exciting third act.” He added.
Hanna season 3: Plot
In the final moments of the season finale, season 2 certainly left several loose ends to tie-off in a season 3, with multiple unforeseen character team-ups and departures.
The slow evolution of Utrax trainee Sandy (Áine Rose Daly) from a wholesome, blonde Brady Bunch-type into a bonafide, brain-washed murderer was indeed quite chilling-she is well set-up in season three to play a key villain, should she return.
Hanna managed to fend off a mob of Utrax workers in the action-packed finale, saving Clara and a teenage hostage whose father was killed by Sandy.
Marisaa, Hanna, and Carmichael look ready to take Utrax down in season three, although it seems as though the hesitant Carmichael might still have fire in him.
Hanna Season 3: Cast
The return of Clara (Yasmin Money Prince), the faulty Utrax trainee who made friends with Hanna, will probably not be apparent. She has been seen reuniting with her birth-mother at the end of season two and setting off for a fresh start.
It seems verified, however, that main characters will return for the remainder of the (surviving) season, including Hanna (Esmé Creed-Miles), Utrax manager John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney), and former CIA agent Marissa Weigler (Good Omens star Mireille Enos).
