Ginny & Georgia Season 2 is all set to begin filming in November. However, fans were waiting to hear some updates regarding the upcoming show and here they are now. Netflix already renewed the show for a second season back in April. Besides that, fans are going to get lucky with behind-the-scenes shots from the sets. Show creator Sarah Lampert announced in an Instagram post that she is heading to Toronto in a few weeks for pre-production. We are just as excited as you are. Here’s everything we know so far.
Has Netflix Renewed Ginny & Georgia Season 2?
Netflix renewed Ginny & Georgia Season 2 back in April this year. The show’s first season premiered in February and did pretty well. Moreover, it managed to attract a good number of audiences.
Just two months after the premiere of the first season, the streaming service renewed the show for season 2. Show creator Sarah Lampert said that she was very happy with the response that season 1 got. The video said, “We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for Season 2”.
Production Updates
Rumors suggest that Ginny & Georgia Season 2 will commence production on November 29, 2021. However, filming is said to run all the way through April 8, 2022. As mentioned above, Sarah Lampert is heading to Toronto in the upcoming few weeks. Henceforth, filming is scheduled to take place with Blue Ice Pictures in Toronto. Moreover, Critical Content and Dynamic Television are also involved in the production process.
Release Date
Considering the production process, it is safe to assume that Ginny & Georgia Season 2 will come to Netflix sometime in mid to late 2022. However, we can’t predict anything until and unless there is an official announcement. We are quite excited to see some behind-the-scenes pictures from the set. Such a delight for the fans!

On the other hand, will Georgia marry Mayor Paul and begin a new life in Wellsbury? How will things go between Marcus and Ginny? We literally have so many questions from season 2.
