It stated that the company will share its users’ data with its parent company, Facebook. However, WhatsApp clearly mentioned that users’ private conversations are safe and the company has no claim over it. But users worldwide do not seem very happy with the new privacy policy.

Several organizations around the world, including the European Consumer Organization, have criticized the new privacy policy. They have lodged complaints against WhatsApp saying that it is breaching multiple consumer rights. However, the complaint focuses on how the Facebook-owned company has left no choice for the users, but to accept the changes. It should completely depend on the users whether they want to accept the policy or not. But clearly mentioned that those users who won’t accept the privacy policy, WhatsApp will shut their account.

Basically, the organization wants WhatsApp to simplify its privacy policy. Several users are not even able to understand what the policies exactly are. Henceforth, the company should simplify its policy and present it to the users. Besides that, they want users to get a choice. Any company cannot force its policies on the users. It must give them a choice, which WhatsApp isn’t giving.
