Recently, Planet Nine aka Planet X, the mysterious planet has been spotted by astronomers in the outer sphere of the solar sphere. But still, it’s uncertain whether it is Planet X or not. On 12th December 2020, not only NASA but also the Hubble space telescope caught an image of an exoplanet, which was similar to the behavior of Planet Nine.

Quick facts about Planet Nine

In January 2015, a team of astronomers puts together a surprising discovery that would modify our understanding of our planetary system. That is the revelation of a giant ninth planet orbiting around the Sun. Planet 9 or Planet X is the nickname of this discovery.

On 20th January 2016, scientists officially declared openly about the giant planet in the Kuiper Belt at the outer horizon of the solar system.

According to a sky survey in November 2020, no observance of Planet Nine had been confirmed. However, scientists have not ruled out the certainty of a Neptune-diameter object( Planet X) in the outer Solar System.

This hypothetical Neptune-sized planet orbits around the Sun in a highly elongated orbit far beyond the dwarf planet.

The mass of Planet Nine is ten times that of Earth and orbit about twenty times farther from the source.

How long does the planet nine take to travel around the sun?  Well,  the object might take around 10,000 to 20,000 Earth years to make one complete orbit around the Sun.

What is the difference between Exoplanet and Planet Nine?

The exoplanet called HD106906 b undoubtedly occupies a hypothetical orbit around a double star 336 light-years away.

The Magellan Telescopes at the Las Campanas Observatory discovered this exoplanet in 2013.

The exoplanet’s distance is over 730 times the distance of the Earth from the Sun. And it takes 15,000 years to complete a trip around the sun. Hubble scientists laid the first stone by claiming that the planet’s orbit is apt to be a dusty debris disc.

Coming across all these characteristics, subsequently, astronomers discover an exoplanet that behaves like long theorized Planet Nine

Who discovered Planet Nine?

During the Kuiper Belt study, astronomers caught a glimpse of the dwarf planets and tiny objects gathering collectively. On the other hand, through an examination of these orbits, the Caltech team predicted the probability of a large, formerly unseen planet hiding very far beyond Pluto.

Indeed, the evidence for Planet Nine was disclosed by Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin by using mathematical modeling and computer simulations. Besides, Astronomers recently discovered an exoplanet that behaves like long theorized Planet Nine.

The Hubble telescope has helped scientists by providing capabilities to unlock many of the secrets of the cosmos. In spite, they came across an exoplanet that appeared exactly like Planet Nine. Ultimately, leading Astronomers discover an exoplanet that behaves like long theorized Planet Nine
