Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the most successful and popular anime of recent times. Based on the equally popular manga of the same name, the first season of the anime reached gigantic heights in popularity. Considered one of the best anime of 2019, it makes total sense that fans can’t wait for Demon Slayer Season 2.

Season 1 of Demon Slayer also won the ‘Anime of the Year’ award at the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The show also became huge on Netflix.

While there are no updates on the release of Demon Slayer Season 2, we can safely assume that we can expect it to come out soon.

The first season of Demon Slayer premiered on April 6, 2019. Since then the show has received massive popularity and received widespread acclaim.

A movie named Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train was also released on October 16, 2020. The film went on to become the highest-grossing film of 2020 in Japan and the seventh highest-grossing film of 2020 worldwide.

Taking all this into account, we can assume that Demon Slayer Season 2 is definitely on the slate.

Moreover, on October 15, it was announced that the next season is in production.

We are expecting the next season to arrive by April next year.

Set in Taishō-era Japan, Demon Slayer follows Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko. When a demon kills their parents and Nezuko is also turned into a demon, Tanjiro fights against various demons and join a society of Demon Slayers. Tanjiro’s goal: Help his sister who is showing human tendencies turn into a normal human again and avenge his family’s death.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train follows right after Demon Slayer Season 1. The next season will take the story forward.

Since the film has not seen any global or online release, we won’t spoil it either.
At the end of Season 1, we see Tanjiro and the gang boarding the train which seems infinitely long. With them on the train is also the Lower One of the Twelve Moons.
Expect more demon-slaying and definitely more memes from the next season.

All the episodes of the first season of Demon Slayer are available on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Netflix.

The movie is yet to get a widespread release. With the popularity the movie has received, we expect it to be released in more theatres or streaming platforms soon.
