Kindergarten to Class 6 Grade Students Promoted Earlier

The Delhi government had promoted the students of kindergarten to class 6 on a no-detention policy basis. Amid the rising Covid scenario in April, the government had postponed class 9 and 11 exams. However, after 2 months, they finally canceled the exams. The students and their guardians were extremely anxious to know about their promotion strategy. Meanwhile, Delhi Deputy CM, Manish Sisodia announced the strategy on Thursday.

What is the Promotion Strategy for Class 9 and 11 Students?

The students will not give their class 9 and 11 annual exams. So, how will they get promoted to the next grade? The students will get promotions based on their mid-term examinations. Most probably, all the schools had conducted an online mid-semester exam for the students. Henceforth, they will get their promotion on that exam’s basis. In case, if any private school has conducted an online annual exam; they can promote their students on that basis. There are some schools that have conducted neither a mid-term exam nor an annual exam. Sisodia announced that such schools can promote the students on the basis of their best marks in two subjects. The Delhi government announced the news in a press conference on Thursday.

Moreover, those students who haven’t qualified will get another chance. Sisodia announced that the government will declare the results for classes 9 and 11 on June 22. Therefore, students can check their results on the website. Moreover, they will receive an SMS regarding the results. Nobody has to go to school to check their results.
