Netflix has renewed Cobra Kai Season 5 even before season 4’s premiere. It’s official. Cobra Kai fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Netflix renews the series for a fifth installment. As a matter of fact, season 3 premiered in January this year and was a big hit. Cobra Kai Season 5 Renewal Status
The franchise announced the renewal of Cobra Kai Season 5 on its official Twitter account. However, the third season of the popular series came to Netflix on January 21, 2021, and was hailed as a massive success. The renewal comes ahead of season 4, which is still in the works. So far, there is no official release date for Cobra Kai Season 4. But we know that it is speculated to have a December 2021 release date and a short teaser. However, we are expecting to hear some more news about the fourth season on Netflix’s “Tadum” event on September 25.
Expected Release Date
So far, we just have a renewal announcement for Cobra Kai Season 5. There is no release date sticking around the corner. While announcing the renewal, the series’ Twitter account stated that season 1 to 3 (currently streaming); season 4 (December 2021); season 5 (it’s happening). Therefore, we only have the renewal updates as of now. However, season 4 is releasing this December, 11 months after the third season premiered on Netflix. So, we can predict that the fifth season might release sometime in 2022. We are waiting for some source or the other to spill some beans about the release date.
Will there be a Spin-Off?
Following the renewal, there are some rumors about the show’s spin-off series as well. However, the franchise has not confirmed anything about it yet. So far, it has only renewed Cobra Kai Season 5. The series is a continuation of the popular 1984 film, The Karate Kid, and its sequel sets in the “Miyagi-Verse”.
