On November 7, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath dedicated power projects worth ₹ 216 crores to Gorakhpur. This comes as a pre-Diwali gift from the Chief Minister. He announced four new projects on the occasion.
According to an official spokesman, CM Adityanath dedicated the power projects, laid the foundation stone. He then made a virtual announcement from his official residence.
CM Adityanath said that the state government wanted to supply an uninterrupted power supply to the population of Uttar Pradesh. He also intends to do it cheaply. The CM mentioned that people in the state got an uninterrupted power supply, despite the Coronavirus crisis.
These newly launched projects would replace:
- 160 km of old wires
- Replace 1,000 damaged electricity pole, and
- Construct of 220/33 KV sub-station.
The new projects launched include setting up sub-stations at Padri Market and Rani Bagh, a transformer in Khorabar, and new transformers at various locations in Gorakhpur.

Furthermore, he said that the government would scrape off land-related issues linked to new projects in a time-bound manner. He said that the state government had given a new dimension to power reforms.
Chief Minister Adityanath also maintained that only through development they can obtain change. He also asserted that the UP state government did not allow its development process to slow down in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adityanath also said that the State Energy Department had done an outstanding job in the power sector that altered the insight regarding the state. He went on to say that they have energized a total of 1.75 lakh villages and ‘majras’.
CM Adityanath said that the individuals were getting the power project’s advantages with no segregation considering the state government’s positive and productive methodology. Guaranteeing the simplicity of living was on the state government’s priority list, he stated, adding that power sector changes were being completed speedily.
CM Adityanath laid the foundation for projects to resolve low-voltage problems at Divyanagar and Bichiya. They also erected new electricity poles, transformers, and construct sub-stations. These projects are supposed to have a positive effect on locations such as Padri Market, Pipraich Road, Sarawatipuram, Harsewakpuram, Hanumantnagar, Ranibagh, Kajakpur, Semra, Badgo, Ramgarh, Khorabar, Suvabazar, and Siktor.
