China has again marked a world history after developing the world’s fastest ground vehicle. “Maglev Train”, a train that uses electromagnetic force to run on the track. China has every now and then surprised the world with its techniques and inventions. Whenever it comes to electronic inventions, China has never let itself down.
World’s Fastest Ground Vehicle Developed in China
China on Tuesday unveiled the world’s fastest ground vehicle, the Maglev train. It is said that the train gives an enormous speed of 600 kilometers per hour. So far, this is the world’s fastest vehicle that runs on land, especially trains.
Manufactured in the coastal city of Qingdao, China has basically registered world history. However, the self-developed Chinese train is the fastest vehicle you’ll ever see on land to date. Besides that, it uses electromagnetic force to levitate on the track. The Maglev train’s body has no contact with the rail while it’s on track.
China is Planning to Take Maglev Technology to Another Level
Maglev technology is not new to China. The country is using this technique for over two decades now but on a very small scale. Chinese province, Shanghai, has a very short maglev line that runs through one of the city’s airports to the town. However, there isn’t any intercity or inter-province Maglev line in China. Therefore, this newly-developed world’s fastest ground vehicle could come to the rescue. Several cities including Shanghai and Chengdu are carrying out various researches in order to run maglev trains intercity and inter-province.
Expensive, but Time-Saving Technology
The world’s fastest ground vehicle will only take 2.5 hours to travel from Shanghai to Beijing. Whereas, it is a 3-hour plane journey and 5.5 hours high-speed rail journey.
You can clearly understand the speed of this newly-developed Chinese Maglev train. As mentioned above, the train’s speed is 600 kilometers per hour. Besides China, several other countries of the world are also planning to develop maglev routes. This includes Japan and Germany. Meanwhile, it is an expensive but time-efficient technology. Although it is quite expensive to set up maglev networks, it is really beneficial for the future.
