CBSE Class 12 Board Exams Canceled
After canceling class 10 board exams, CBSE has finally canceled class 12 board exams too. The decision was taken in a key meeting chaired by PM Modi. The decision is in favor of the students. Students are not forced to appear for the examinations in a traumatic situation. With everything happening all around, how can we expect students to appear for an examination? An examination that will decide their future. PM Modi said that all stakeholders need to show sensitivity towards the students.
What is the Marking Startegy for the Students?
CBSE has already announced the class 10 marking strategy. They will give an objective exam in a time-bound manner. And now, the board has put up three ways for class 12 marking. The board will develop a 3-point plan for the students. Everything now depends upon the school’s internal exams. Schools will calculate the average marks of the last three internal exams. In case, if any student wants to appear for the exams, they can surely do that. Once the Covid situation improves, the interested students can appear for the exams. They can appear for an MCQ-pattern exam after 3 to 4 months. Besides that, they will have essay-type questions in the 90-min exam.
CBSE Marks Evalauation Criterias
CBSE has given three options to the students. You can find them below:
- Option A- Interested students can appear for the exams. CBSE will come up with a new date sheet after the pandemic situation improves.
- Option B- CBSE will develop an objective-based marking scheme for evaluation. They will update the website soon.
- Option C- Schools are ordered to prepare the result on the basis of the last three internal exams.
PM Modi Announced the Cancellation
The CBSE class 12 board exams cancelation news came late in the evening. PM Modi shared the information in a tweet. He held a meeting with several other authorities. Moreover, he mentioned that the decision is student-friendly. Besides that, it safeguards the youth of the country.
