CBSE has asked the schools to conduct online practical exams and upload the marks by June 28. The board has updated a link on its website for uploading the marks. Moreover, schools will conduct the exams with the help of internal examiners only. But the external examiners will decide the exam date. CBSE class 12 board exams were canceled earlier this month.
CBSE Permits Online Mode of Conducting Practical Exams
Delhi-based CBSE has extended the date for uploading the marks of class 12 students. Due to the pandemic, many schools weren’t able to conduct the practical exams. In such a case, the board has asked the schools to commence an online practical exam. However, no external examiners are allowed. The concerned school teacher will conduct the assessment based on the board curriculum. Moreover, the internal assessment will take place on a virtual basis. The external examiner will decide the exam date. After conducting the exams, schools will upload the marks on the CBSE website by June 28. Earlier the final date was June 11.
What will be the Process?
In the manual mode, a CBSE-appointed external examiner used to conduct the internal assessment. But now, the external examiner in consultation with the internal examiner will decide the exam date. Students will prepare for a verbal viva exam through an online meeting. The school teacher will then upload the marks on the link provided by CBSE.
CBSE has strictly asked the schools to follow the curriculum even in the online mode. The internal examiner will announce the exam dates in advance. On the examination day, the concerned teacher will share the online meeting link with the students as well as the external examiner. The internal examiner will ask the students a set of verbal questions. And allot the marks on the basis of the candidate’s answers. However, after everything is done, the schools will upload the marks on the CBSE website before June 28.
