As COVID-19 restrictions in Singapore begin to ease, some companies have started calling their employees to work in the office. The COVID-19 situation in the currently is better as compared to other nations at the moment. Henceforth, a few companies have decided to call their employees back to office. Amid COVID-19 pandemic situation, Singapore has decided to end the work from home ritual in the country. The government recently announced that work from home (WFH) is no longer the default working structure in the country. As soon as this news broke, several companies asked their employees to return back to the offices. However, it totally depends upon the company whether they want to continue the work from home structure or asks the employees to return back to the offices. But companies can call only 50 percent of their employees back to the office. According to a research, several companies around the world are looking forward to a hybrid working structure post COVID-19 pandemic. This structure is a mix of work from home and work at office working structure. A Public Service Division, Singapore, spokesperson said that they want work flexibility. When the pandemic is over, going back to office should not feel like a burden. Henceforth, hybrid working structure these days will help a lot in lessening the future burden. They need a balance in the need of officers and the need of the organization. This hybrid work structure is not new in Singapore. When COVID-19 first hit the country, people were finding it difficult to manage the hybrid structure. But the government allowed a few workers to return to their offices. However, when cases started increasing in May this year, the government asked all the companies to implement the work from structure. And now once again, they have eased the working restrictions and asked the companies to call their employees back if they want to. Currently, not all companies are planning to bring back their employees. Mastercard has asked its employees to return to the office from August 23. On the other hand, some companies have left it to the employees to choose whether they want to work at office or work from home. Singapore has abolished mandatory temperature checking at public places. Besides that, the occupancy level is also increased at several venues. Moreover, libraries, cinema halls, malls, etc. can now operate with 50 percent capacity. The country also loosened a few travel restrictions on August 10. Now fully vaccinated travelers from other countries can visit the nation. Restaurants have also started dine-in and grouping capacity is now increased to five people.
