ASUS has confirmed two upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3060. Both of these graphic cards are scheduled to be launched in early 2021 but ASUS has already listed them under their support and services page.
If you choose the ROG Strix series there, you will get the Asus RTX 3080 Ti ROG Strix and the Asus RTX 3080 Ti ROG Strix OC presents.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti “reported” specifications:
Sources suggest that GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FE (Founders Edition) graphics card will feature the PG133-SKU15 PCB design and the GA102-250-KD-A1 graphics core.
As for memory, the card will feature 20 GB of GDDR6X memory. Unlike the 19.5 Gbps speeds of the RTX 3090, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is said to retain the same memory speeds as the RTX 3080 at 19 Gbps.
Since a 20 GB bus interface is being used, NVIDIA will be using a 320-bit bus interface which equals a total bandwidth of 760 GB/s.
TGP for the card is set to be at 320 Watts, the same as the RTX 3080 variant. NVIDIA might have to optimize the clocks a bit here, to feed the extra cores.
it has also been said that the price of this GPU could match the price of the new rival AMD RX 6900 XT at $ 999.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 “reported” specifications”:
The GeForce RTX 3060 is said to feature the GA106-400 GPU which is expected to feature 3840 FP32 cores in a total of 30 SM units.
The PG190 SKU by board partners will be used in graphics card which are both GA104 and GA106 pin-compatible. The graphics card has seen a range of memory specs update starting with 6 GB (14 Gbps) and now listed at 12 GB (16 Gbps).
It is rumored that the card might feature a massive 12 GB memory buffer which is larger than that of the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, and even the RTX 3080. But it has not been confirmed yet.
We are estimating the GPU could end up costing $ 299, and it won’t be long enough to know what the prices or specifications actually will be, as NVIDIA will be hosting an event on January 12.
Difference Between RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080:
How will NVIDIA differentiate between NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti and 3080 is still not clear.
We are assuming that the company will get a few percent more performance either with a few additional shaders and/or a higher clock rate.
Together with the doubled graphics memory, Nvidia could then put AMD’s flagship, the RX 6900 XT, in trouble.
