Alia Bhatt revealed in an Instagram story that she had tested positive for COVID-19. The 28-year-old actress wrote in a late-night statement on Thursday: “Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.”
Alia also conveyed her gratitude to the concerned fans in her post by adding: “Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.” Alia Bhatt has been busy filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in Mumbai.
Mr Bhansali tested positive for the coronavirus in early March and recovered within a few weeks. Last month, boyfriend of Alia Bhatt, actor Ranbir Kapoor, contracted COVID-19. Alia disclosed in an Instagram storey just days after Ranbir’s coronavirus diagnosis that she had been in quarantine for a few days and also had tested negative.
“I’ve been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes. I am taking care and staying safe. You please do the same,” Alia had posted on March 11.
