Thirty-two-year old Ayanna Wolfe of the Pheonix Heat netball club plays the Wing Defence position with the Bermuda National Netball team.
The RenaissanceRe employee shares with Today In Bermuda why she loves the sport as much as does: “I love netball because it has been with me practically my whole life. When I play netball, I think of nothing else but this game. It has guided me through life, it has introduced me to lifelong friends, and it has given me confidence but also humbled me.”
Ms Wolfe, who professionally aspires to manage a team of IT professionals with the aim of guiding them to accomplishing their life and career goals, says she hopes her mark on netball is felt for years to come: “I hope to inspire the youth to get involved in such a fantastic sport that gives females an avenue to not only play sports but also create friendships.”
A standout on the court for her ability to successfully apply pressure on her opponents, in 2013 Ms Wolfe was honoured as the Defender Of The Year by her club team.
The Bermuda Netball Association salutes Ayanna Wolfe.
