A Bermudian woman is accused of stealing from residents in Forest Park, Georgia, USA, by pretending to be a real estate agent using the popular Trulia app.
According to CBS affiliate WGCL-TV in Atlanta, Christine Rawlins, who is in her 30s, was using the app to pretend she was selling homes to unsuspecting victims.
It is alleged that she was arranging meetings with potential home buyers and collecting checks from them, leaving them with nothing.
One victim reported to Police that her ‘home’ was never transferred to her after she handed Rawlins funds, but when she tried to call her, her number was disconnected.
According the CBS news site, Rawlins continues to list homes on the site and is wanted in another county in Georgia where it is alleged that she did the same thing to another victim.
