EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT SEES WOMEN CONVEYED TO HOSPITAL

Three vehicles, two extensively damaged on their front ends, were involved in a collsion just after seven this morning, just west of Five Star Island on Middle Road in Southampton.

According to ireporter AT, who witnessed the collision, a Terios jeep was travelling westerly when the driver lost control of  the vehicle and collided head on with a taxi travelling in the opposite direction.

The third vehicle, a Honda CRV, seemed to have suffered minor damage. AT, whose vehicle was not hit tells Today In Bermuda that the roads were slippery when they got out of the vehicle to assist those at the scene.

Two females travelling in the Terios was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital; one complaining of chest and head pain.

Police Media and Comminity Relations Officer Kimberley Spring released the following statement momemts ago: "Around 6.50 a.m., police and first responders attended a report of a three vehicle collision which occurred along Middle Road Southampton near the junction with Church Road.

"As a result, the road has been completely blocked and traffic has been diverted from Barnes Corner headed east and Lighthouse Road headed west. 
Several persons were taken to KEMH for treatment however at this time the injuries do not appear to serious.
Further updates will be provided soon."
