While details are limited at this time, ireporter LT, sent us this picture moments after there was a robbery at the Crawl Esso Mart in Hamilton Parish. The amount of money stolen is not known at this time but a statement from the Bermuda Police Service is forthcoming.
[UPDATE: 10.22 P.M.] Today In Bermuda that the female gas attendant who was on duty at the time was kicked and punched by the robber, which has resulted with her being conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with injuries not considered to be life threatening.
[UPDATE: 10.39 P.M.] At 8.07 p.m., Police responded to a report of a robbery that took place at the Esso Tigermarket at the corner of Radnor Road and North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish.
Upon police arrival, it was ascertained that a male riding a dark coloured cycle entered one of the booths on the outside of the Tigermarket and made demands of money from the cashier inside of the booth.
The female cashier gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and as the rider tried to leave the scene the cashier tried to stop him resulting in the cashier being run over by the suspect who then left traveling east on North Shore Road.
The cashier was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
An investigation is underway and the area is cordoned off, and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen anyone in the area acting suspiciously to contact police on 295-0011 or the Confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.
