MAN INJURED AFTER EARLY MORNING HIT AND RUN; DRIVER LEAVES LICENSE PLATE BEHIND

In this ireport, one of our readers happened upon this accident just moments after it happened at around 2.30 this morning. The driver of a car hit a man riding a motorbike and then sped away in a westerly direction, leaving the man laying injured on Rural Hill, just east of Paget Dry Cleaners. However, he left the bumper of the car, with the licence plate attached, at the scene.

The driver of the car was subsequently apprehended in the area of Manse Road and the car, impounded. While the ireporter captured the accident images, while attending the scene of another accident, Today In Bermuda captured the picture of the impounded car on the back of a tow truck just after four this morning.
