People around the island are being encouraged to wear fun, colourful socks tomorrow in support of Tomorrow’s Voices Rocks Socks fundraising event as Autism Awareness Month continues.
Summer camps are a place for kids to play and have fun on their holidays from school.
And that is no different for the children and teens who participate in the Tomorrow’s Voices Summer Programme. While the children may have been diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities, the staff and volunteers of the Summer Programme look beyond the disability and instead work on letting the kids have a good time.
Imagine calling your child's name and they are unable to recognise you. While this may seem unfathomable to some, for a number of parents whose children are on the autism spectrum, this is a harsh reality.
