In these last days, your worship style is going to have to change. Your worship style, your preparedness to worship, your pursuit of worship, and your passion for worshiping cannot remain as it has been in the past. No, these days you must be focused, more than ever, on your relationship with God.

It cannot be “church as usual.” You cannot prepare for church worship as you prepare for work. It is more than a 9–5 job. You cannot prepare for church like you are doing your housework or your chores. No, it is more than a daily or weekly routine. You cannot prepare for church like going to school or college and marked present by the teacher. No, this is more than having your physical body in a place.

You must not only show up at church, but you must show out! You must show how much you love Jesus!  Show how grateful you are to God!

God is measuring the pulse of your worship.  It reminds me of a song of old:

Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?

Your heart does the Spirit control?

You can only be blest,

And have peace and sweet rest,

As you yield Him your body and soul.

Here are some questions for you, concerning your church attendance:

  • What are you here for?
  • Why are you here?
  • What do you desire to occur while you are here?

Christians enter into the church building to give honour, praise, and glory to Jesus. Jesus is the central figure of the Bible and He must always be the central figure of our worship experience. When Jesus shows up, Jesus brings about change. Jesus brings about an automatic shift in the atmosphere; things can never be the same again.

It is not "business as usual." Whatever you were used to doing, you can no longer be the same when Jesus shows up in your life. There has to be an upgrade. Your worship has to change.

  • You have to move from kind of worship to KINGDOM WORSHIP.
  • You have to move from merely coming to worship to KINGDOM WORSHIP.
  • You have to move from careless worship to KINGDOM WORSHIP.

This worship is the new wine experience or the new wine worship. This worship is a new experience – an experience that has never happened before. Things can no longer be as they used to be. They must change.

John 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

Please note that this verse speaks of the third day and not the third day of the week. The focus was not on the day of the week. What is communicated is that Jesus showed up on the third day.

Jesus began His earthly ministry with a third-day miracle, and Jesus ended His earthly ministry with a third-day miracle.

  • First miracle: turning water into wine.
  • Second miracle: Resurrecting from the dead.

Both miracles speak to a new thing beginning. Both miracles canceled or fulfilled the past and began a new thing.

Here is what I desire to leave with you. If you are going to experience the new thing, you must be willing to finish the old thing completely. If you are going to experience the new thing, you must allow Jesus to be Lord and Savior and miracle-worker in your life.

Isaiah 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Oh, God can do new and amazing things in your life. You just have to be willing to enact your faith and let go of what was in order to grab hold of what is to come. It is time for a new wine of worship. Let’s do this!

Forget business as usual; it is the third day, and things will never be the same again. Blessings Abound!
