Integrity means consistent. It means that wherever you go, you are the same person with the same message. Recently, I taught a message to schoolchildren, which also is a great lesson for the children of God.

The Lesson: I have a bottle of perfume. The perfume has a unique scent or unique fragrance. I can travel to Somerset, and the perfume will retain its unique fragrance. I can travel to St. George’s, and the perfume will retain its unique fragrance. No matter where you take the perfume, it will yield the same fragrance. As a matter of fact, the formula that produced the fragrance is patented. No other person can copy this scent exactly as it is.

The lesson of the perfume speaks to the integrity of its scent.

The child of God, the Christian, must be a child of integrity. The Christian must not change according to where they are or who they are around. The Christian must not change according to the ever-changing standards of today.

Christians must live their lives according to God’s Holy Word. God is infallible. He will not change His mind, and hence, God will not change His Word. The one standard is The Bible.

The moment a Christian veers from the Bible to the common opinion of the day or even the statistical data of today, they have just begun to mix the fragrance of The Word of God with the fragrance of the words of human beings. Mankind is forever operating in error. Hence, you cannot mix or change the Word of God and then expect it to have the same effect as before.  You cannot change God’s Words and expect God to honor what you have changed. No! It is mankind who must line up with God’s Holy Word.

The Word of God is the very integrity or fragrance of the heart of God.  The fragrance of the Bible is the essence of who God is.

Revelation 22:18-19

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Galatians 1:6-9

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

God has a major issue with those who desire to change His authentic Word.  Living according to the words of someone who has changed God’s Word will result in you missing the integrity of The Word of God. That is trouble. God will only receive unto Himself those who have lived by His Word.

Children of God, please allow the consistent and unchanging Word of God to be your perfume. There is nothing safer than being found in the will of God, which can only be found in The Word of God.

God said it and God means it.

Be a person of integrity and allow the fragrance of heaven to impact your time here on earth. Blessings Abound!
