FROM THE TEA CHAIR: LET'S STAND UP!

Bermuda has recently celebrated another Bermuda Day and with that came the anticipation of reserving the coveted spot along the parade route to call one's own.  Mind you,  there's no rental agreement,  no contracts of any kind to sign, no proof of ownership - just a carte blanche entitlement that for this day the spot is unavailable to anyone else.

FOSTER PARENTS HONOURED

The Department of Child and Family Services recently honoured local foster parents at their annual Foster Care Appreciation tea. The Minister of Social Development and Sports, The Hon. Sylvan Richards, JP, MP and The Minister of Home Affairs, The Hon. Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, JP, MP were present to support the 50 parents honoured during the ceremony.

EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE TO TAKE PLACE THIS WEEKEND

A conference with an aim to inspire and empower Bermudians to be the best version of themselves will be held this weekend.

Educator Keema Perry, deputy principal at St. George’s Preparatory School is the founder of Powerhouse Academy and is hosting the event on Saturday, June 4 from 9.00 a.m. until noon at St. George’s Preparatory School.
