ISLAND RECORDS TENTH ROAD FATALITY; TWO MEN STABBED IN CLUB

The Bermuda Police Service has seen a busy start to the weekend with the Island recording its tenth road fatality of the year, two stabbings and a serious traffic accident which has seen one man suffer severe leg injuries.

First responders attended a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Black Watch Pass in Pembroke on Friday at 6.30 p.m. Details are still emerging but it appears that a 52-year-old man was travelling south on Black Watch Pass, when it appears that he lost control of his motorcycle and hit the kerb.  As a result the man was taken to the hospital via ambulance where he later was pronounced dead.  No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.

Police responded to a report of an incident that took place at Ambiance Lounge on Angle Street at 4.15 this morning.

Details are still unfolding but it appears that two men got into an altercation inside of the club resulting in both men being taken to the hospital with apparent stab wounds The area has been cordoned off and the relevant police officers are processing the scene

Police are appealing for witness or anyone who may have seen the incident to contact Acting Inspector Jason Smith on 717 0864.

At approximately 5. 30 this morning, first responders attended a report of a two vehicle collision between a motorcycle and car in area of Middle Road and Evans Bay Road in Southampton.

 The rider of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with serious leg injuries.

 The scene is presently being processed by the relevant police officers and an investigation into the collision is now underway.
