WEEKEND POLICE REPORT: ONE MAN TREATED AFTER CUP MATCH FIGHT

Police responded to a disturbance that took place on the grounds of the St. George’s Cricket Club last evening.  A number of males were involved in a melee that resulted in one male being transported to the hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, which seem have been attained as a result of the altercation.

They do not appear to be life threatening.  Three males were arrested in relation to this incident and police have commenced an investigation into the matter. 

Meanwhile, the 62 year-old victim who fell overboard next to the flag pole on Front Street on Wednesday evening, is still in the hospital where he is in critical condition in the ICU. 

The 19-year-old involved in the stabbing that took place at Sports Locker on Wednesday, August 2, is in stable condition in the hospital and two men are in police custody in relation to this incident.  This investigation is ongoing.

The 40-year-old male victim who was stabbed at a residence on Beacon Hill Lane on Tuesday, August 1, is listed in stable condition in a general ward in the hospital and the 30-year-old suspect is still in police custody.  The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
