MAN STABBED IN APPAREL STORE IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

Amid dozens of people shopping for their Cup Match holiday wear, a brazen man walked into the Sports Locker on Queen Street and stabbed a man with what is described as "big knife".

One man who asked not to be named said the victim, who was in the store was dripping with blood when he exited.

The victim, who is known to Police, was taken by motorbike to King Edward VII Memorial to get medical assistance. Police are currently talking to witnesses and processing the scene. While they have not confirmed, it appears to be gang related.

[UPDATE:] Police responded to a report of a stabbing that took place inside of the Sports Locker in Windsor Place in the City Of Hamilton today (Friday) at 2.00 p.m. It appears that an altercation took place between two males resulting in one of the males being stabbed in the abdomen.

The victim was taken to the hospital via a motorbike and the suspect made good his escape on a motorcycle.

Police  are interested in speaking with anyone who may have any information on this incident or specifically anyone who was in the Sports Locker at the time of the incident to contact police on 29-50011.
